Job summary

Sherpa Kids in Ireland is seeking an after-school supervisor to support children with activities, homework, and play. You will contribute to a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment after school hours.

The role requires energy, English proficiency, Garda vetting, and a valid work permit/VISA. A minimum of 1 year working with school-aged children and two written references are required. Specific contract runs September to December, Monday to Friday, 2pm–6pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience with school-aged children.
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting required (to be completed after interview).
• Work permit/VISA essential.
• At least 2 written references before starting.
• Specific Purpose Contract: September to December.
• Working hours: 2pm–6pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children.
• Bring lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
