Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking an Afterschool Childcare Assistant to support school-aged children in Leixlip, delivering supervised activities, helping with homework, and promoting safe, engaging play after the school day.

The role requires fluent Irish, strong English skills, Garda vetting, and two written references. Hours are Monday to Friday with two daily blocks, and it is based on-site at local schools.

Qualifications

• Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year)
• Fluent Irish speaker required.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
