Job summary

Enable Ireland in Kerry is seeking a motivated Support Worker to help adults participate in their community and achieve personal goals. You will provide practical, personal and social support to service users.

Essential criteria include Fetac level 5 Health/Social Care, 1+ year in the disability sector, driving licence, and knowledge of person-centred approaches. This is a relief role with variable hours and pro rata salary from €35,771 to €43,288.

Qualifications

Qualification in Health Care/Social Care (Fetac level 5 or equivalent).
Minimum 1 year experience in Disability Sector.
Experience with adults with physical, sensory and neurological disabilities.
Ability to support personal/intimate care needs and eating/drinking/swallowing needs.
Full clean driving licence.
Knowledge of Person Centred Approaches.

Responsibilities

Provide person-centred support to those who use our service.
Facilitate active involvement in personal and group goals.
Assist with activities of daily living: personal care, showering, session support, driving/escort duties.
Assist with transport needs by driving service or service owner’s vehicles.
Develop and participate in person-centred planning and key working process.
Contribute to development and delivery of programmes empowering service owners.
