Job summary

Ability West invites applications for Instructor roles based in Clifden, Co Galway. You will provide day service support across activities such as arts, crafts, social skills, woodwork, cookery and independent living skills for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Roles require flexible teamwork, a full driving license, and the ability to empower individuals towards greater independence, with training and supervision provided in a person-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities and autism is advantageous.
• Full current driving license is required.
• Ability to instruct across multiple programmes and activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in arts, crafts, social skills, woodwork, cookery, horticulture, and independent living skills.
• Instruct on courses including skills and social development and community integration.
• Work as part of a team with flexible duties and overlapping roles.
• Build respectful, equal relationships that promote independence.
