Ability West in Galway City is seeking an Instructor to provide Day Service support for School Leavers. The role is based in Salthill, Galway, with duties spanning arts, crafts, social skills, and independent living skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in arts, crafts, social skills, woodwork, cookery, horticulture, and independent living skills per people we support's preferences and abilities.
• Instruct on courses including specific skills as well as social development, personal care and community integration.
• Work as part of a team with flexible duties and overlapping responsibilities.
• Establish and maintain respectful, empowering relationships that promote independence.
• Support individuals who may present with challenging behaviours and those on the autism spectrum.
