Ability West in Galway City seeks a Senior Instructor to support adults and young people with intellectual disabilities and autism in Day Services. Act as Person in Charge in the absence of the Manger Day Services.
Write, plan, implement and evaluate programmes/learning modules in a variety of QQI training areas including personal safety, personal care, visual art, food choice and health relaxation techniques, depending on the people we support' preferences and learning ability.
Support the Day Services manager and Instructors on delivery of modules/courses as required. The courses will include specific skills as well as social development, personal care, and community integration.
Ensure the people we support individual plans are in line with New Direction Interim standards.
Act as person in Charge in the absence of the Day Service manager, as directed. This will include day to day management of volunteers, students and community outings/visitors.
