Amicus Search & Recruitment is working with a well-established international law firm seeking an Employment Associate at 1-2 years PQE in Dublin. You will support a broad employment practice and take on real responsibility early within a varied workload.
The role covers workplace investigations, WRC and Labour Court matters, and corporate immigration work, with hybrid working and three days per week in the office. You will engage in client meetings and business development from early on.
Our client, a well-established international law firm with a highly regarded employment practice, is looking for an Employment Associate at 1-2 years PQE. They want someone who already has solid employment law grounding, including exposure gained through a traineeship seat, and who's ready to take on real responsibility early.
The team sits within a full-service international practice and acts for a broad range of employers, including major international and US institutional clients who come to the firm for employment and immigration advice when setting up or running their Irish operations. There's particular depth advising regulated financial services employers. The team is led by a partner who has significantly grown and reshaped the practice in recent years, and typically runs with a senior associate, a mid-level associate and a trainee working closely together — so there's day-to-day exposure to both the partner and senior associates.
The work is broad and varied: people-risk matters such as workplace investigations, protected disclosures, performance and disciplinary issues, and exits; WRC, Labour Court and Circuit Court litigation, including board, shareholder and senior C-suite disputes; mediations; corporate transaction support (share sales, asset sales/TUPE, buyer and vendor due diligence); day-to-day advisory work on policies, handbooks and contracts; industrial relations issues; and some corporate immigration work. There's also an expectation of getting involved in business development, client meetings and seminars from early on.
Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of three days a week in the office.
