Harmony Care is seeking a Social Care Worker for an existing service in Offaly, with locations in Portarlington and Tullamore region. Roles available include full-time and part-time, with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the Safety Statement and Health and Safety risk assessments.
• Ensure health and safety of young people and staff by overseeing premises.
• Report health and safety concerns immediately to management.
• Support the development of policies and best practices within a homely environment.
• Build therapeutic, professional relationships with children in care.
• Ensure children's needs are met in line with the Child Care Act, 1991.
• Facilitate family time and support education and training.
• Promote holistic needs including social, medical, dietary, and religious needs.
• Encourage participation in decisions affecting their lives.
• Collaborate with young people to implement care plans.
• Attend reviews and planning meetings to advocate for the child.
