EMEA Payroll Analyst - Workday

We are partnering with a leading global technology organisation to appoint an EMEA Payroll Analyst to its Dublin-based payroll team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a hands‑on payroll position supporting multiple entities across EMEA. You will take ownership of payroll processing, Workday data, reconciliations and third‑party payroll providers while partnering closely with HR, Finance and other international stakeholders.

The environment is fast‑moving and highly collaborative, so we are looking for someone who already understands payroll operations and has practical experience working with Workday.

What you’ll be doing
  • Manage end‑to‑end monthly payroll activity across assigned EMEA entities.
  • Prepare and validate payroll inputs before submission to third‑party payroll providers.
  • Review payroll outputs and perform Gross-to-Net reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
  • Maintain accurate employee and payroll data within Workday.
  • Run Workday reports and manage payroll‑related data uploads and downloads.
  • Support mass data uploads for variable compensation, commissions and bonuses.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Treasury to ensure payroll funding is approved and processed within local deadlines.
  • Review taxes, pensions, statutory deductions and other payroll payments.
  • Work closely with outsourced payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Support payroll compliance, controls and audit requirements.
  • Resolve employee payroll and tax queries.
  • Partner with HR, Finance and other stakeholders to resolve data issues and improve payroll processes.
What we’re looking for
  • Previous hands‑on payroll processing experience within a medium or large organisation.
  • Practical experience using Workday is essential.
  • Experience running reports and working with payroll/employee data within Workday.
  • Multi‑country or EMEA payroll experience is strongly preferred.
  • Good understanding of payroll controls, compliance and statutory requirements.
  • Experience working with outsourced or third‑party payroll providers.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience performing payroll reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver against fixed payroll deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across HR, Finance and international teams.

This would suit a Payroll Analyst, International Payroll Analyst or Payroll Specialist looking to join a sophisticated international payroll environment within a major global technology business.
