Job summary

Principle is seeking an EMEA Payroll Analyst in Dublin on an initial 6-month contract to own payroll processing, Workday data, reconciliations, and collaboration with HR and Finance. This hands-on role supports multiple entities across the EMEA region.

You will manage monthly payroll activity, run Workday reports, perform Gross-to-Net reconciliations, and coordinate with outsourced providers to ensure timely, compliant payroll processing in a fast-moving, international environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on payroll processing experience within a medium or large organisation.
  • Practical experience using Workday is essential.
  • Experience running reports and working with payroll/employee data within Workday.
  • Multi-country or EMEA payroll experience is strongly preferred.
  • Good understanding of payroll controls, compliance and statutory requirements.
  • Experience working with outsourced or third-party payroll providers.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience performing payroll reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver against fixed payroll deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across HR, Finance and international teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll activity across assigned EMEA entities.
  • Prepare and validate payroll inputs before submission to third-party payroll providers.
  • Review payroll outputs and perform Gross-to-Net reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
  • Maintain accurate employee and payroll data within Workday.
  • Run Workday reports and manage payroll-related data uploads and downloads.
  • Support mass data uploads for variable compensation, commissions and bonuses.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Treasury to ensure payroll funding is approved and processed within local deadlines.
  • Review taxes, pensions, statutory deductions and other payroll payments.
  • Work closely with outsourced payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Support payroll compliance, controls and audit requirements.
  • Resolve employee payroll and tax queries.
  • Partner with HR, Finance and other stakeholders to resolve data issues and improve payroll processes.
