Job summary

Amazon AIS seeks an innovative electrical design engineer to design high and medium voltage substation systems for global infrastructure. You will develop electrical designs and collaborate with vendors, manufacturers, and utility providers to specify optimal equipment.

The role includes creating detailed construction documents, supporting projects from site selection to commissioning, and ensuring safety and efficiency in power systems for data centers worldwide. A PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience designing electrical distribution systems from low to high voltage.
• Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Ability to read and create construction drawings, specifications and submittal documents.
• Experience with EPMS/SCADA/BMS controls systems.
• Experience leading projects and coordinating multiple consultant teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage high and medium voltage substation systems across regions.
• Develop comprehensive electrical infrastructure designs using engineering software.
• Collaborate with regional vendors, manufacturers, and utility providers to specify equipment.
• Create detailed construction documents and technical specifications.
• Support project lifecycle from site selection through commissioning and validation.
