Job summary

Amazon is seeking an innovative electrical design engineer to revolutionize critical infrastructure powering global technology. You will design high and medium voltage substations and develop comprehensive electrical infrastructure designs using advanced engineering software across multiple regions.

You will collaborate with regional vendors, manufacturers, and utility providers to specify optimal equipment, create detailed construction documents, and ensure quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with design or construction administration of electrical distribution systems from low to high voltage.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering for mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc.).
• Experience reading and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage HV/ MV substation systems across regions.
• Develop electrical infrastructure designs using engineering software.
• Collaborate with vendors and utility providers to specify equipment.
• Create detailed construction documents and specs meeting quality standards.
• Support project lifecycle from site selection through commissioning and validation.
