Job summary

Google's energy and location strategy teams secure critical power infrastructure for data centers across the EMEA region to support rapid growth and reliability.

As a Strategic Negotiator, you will lead origination, structuring, and execution of energy contracts, collaborating with Engineering, Finance, Legal, and vendor teams to optimize cost and performance for Google's global footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience leading negotiations or business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end origination, execution and ownership of energy and power strategy across GW scale markets in EMEA.
• Lead complex transactions and high-stakes negotiations including origination, structuring and execution of grid connection agreements, clean energy power purchase agreements, and other data center-related energy contracts.
• Contribute to the growth of Google's data center portfolio through energy due diligence during site selection for new data center project development both in established markets and in frontier markets.
• Own the strategy for Google's energy procurement, spanning all energy generation technologies, and including the procurement of carbon-free energy in support of Google's clean energy ambitions.
• Develop and lead mission-critical agreements, investments, and other transaction related materials with executives and partner teams.
