Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Business Manager for EMEA Business & Project Controls to own operating rhythms, governance mechanisms, and organisational planning across EMEA DCCD. You will translate strategic priorities into actions, drive leadership reporting, and ensure scalable, durable processes.

The role sits at the intersection of people, process, governance and continuous improvement, working with Finance, Recruiting and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and decisions
• Experience communicating with executive-level leaders
• Experience managing multiple priorities and driving goals to completion
• Ability to present complex technical information clearly to executives and non-technical leaders
• Experience establishing governance and business-review mechanisms (e.g. WBRs, MBRs, quarterly reviews)
• Experience in business operations, programme governance or similar for a complex multi-stakeholder organisation

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the EMEA rhythm of business (WBRs, MBRs, Quarterly Clinics, portfolio reviews, leadership reviews) with calendars, owners, inputs and outputs.
• Coordinate annual and quarterly planning cycles; align long-term strategy with near-term execution; own goal-development cycle and progress reporting.
• Own Focus Area governance, milestones, risks and dependencies through to completion.
• Coordinate executive business reviews and produce concise, decision-oriented reporting.
• Support cross-functional governance; surface dependencies and ownership gaps; capture leadership actions with owners and due dates.
• Maintain headcount data, rosters, open positions, attrition and hiring progress; support onboarding and team charter documentation.
• Coordinate OLR activities, promotion slate, succession planning and capability gap identification.
• Develop clear communications for leadership (town halls, updates, project kick-offs); govern team SharePoint and documentation.
• Identify recurring pain points, investigate root causes, and coordinate simple, scalable improvements; partner with Data & Digital to reduce manual work.
