Job summary

Stryker is seeking an R&D Co‑Op Student in Cork to design, develop and verify software for medical devices. You will assist in prototyping, bench testing, and solving design challenges under supervision, contributing to New Product Development projects that improve patient care.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's in Biomedical/Software/Electronic Engineering or Robotics, with basic Embedded C/C++ and Python knowledge. Mentors and a structured program await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Biomedical Engineering, Software, Electronic Engineering, Robotics or related discipline.
• Fundamental knowledge of embedded software engineering practices in regulated environments.
• Basic programming in Embedded C and C++; Python desirable.
• Experience with testing, debugging, and hardware tools.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, design, develop, modify, and verify software for medical devices.
• Assist with prototyping and bench testing.
• Support root cause analysis and evaluate solutions against requirements.
• Conduct research and studies to support product design.
