Job summary

TLI Group Ltd is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to join our Substation Electrical Team on recently awarded projects. This hybrid role combines home/office work with site visits as needed.

The ideal candidate has an electrical or civil supervisory background, strong IT skills, and a drive to advance their career within a growing company. We offer comprehensive benefits and a pathway for progression.

Qualifications

• Recognised academic training such as a Degree or Trade Qualifications (Preferred but not essential)
• Electrical trade background with a desire to further your career.
• Knowledge of PSDP/PSCS
• QA/QC experience and high standards
• Experience in managing civil or electrical installations (≥5 years)
• Experience in a utility environment (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Ensure client orders are managed, prioritised and actioned efficiently
• Oversee resource allocation to complete works and liaise with managers to expedite
• Set accurate client expectations on orders and turnaround times
• Monitor crew and sub-contractor allocations including leave and training
• Manage overheads to ensure financial viability of works
• Drive continuous improvement and lessons learnt across the project
• Performance management of crews and wider construction team
• Mentor and develop direct teams; manage subcontractors
• Ensure permits to work are in place for TLI Group crews
• Resource tracking for hours, BOMs, and project decisions
• Conduct appraisals and investigate incidents timely
• Plan and execute work per client specs, standards, legislation, safety and environmental rules
• Complete quality audits and maintain SOPs
• Identify recurring issues to improve project processes
• Manage client KPIs and reports to meet targets
