TLI Group Ltd is seeking a Project Manager – Commissioning to lead a team of HV commissioners testing and commissioning substations across Ireland, ensuring safe and compliant energisation of HV systems.

You will manage multiple projects for the ESB network and private clients, coordinating with engineering, safety, and delivery teams both on-site and in the office to deliver on time and to high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience in HV Substations environment.
• Strong understanding of Irish grid codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; MS Project.
• Goal-oriented with strong people skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of HV commissioners working on transmission and distribution grid in Ireland.
• Act as the project lead for ongoing projects.
• Manage project programs and deliver updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and build a commissioning team to deliver projects in target areas.
• Work with senior management to develop new business lines in target markets.
• Identify training requirements for team members and arrange training.
• Facilitate training of new hires on site until competent to work autonomously.
• Ensure HV Safety Rules are updated in line with industry standards and statutory requirements.

TLI Group is looking for a Project Manager – Commissioning to join the substation electrical team to plan and manage a team of commissioners who will be testing and commissioning substation to ensure network capital investment is safe and fit for purpose.

As a Project Manager, you will manage a team of commissioners commissioning high voltage electrical infrastructure projects across Ireland. You’ll be responsible for a number of concurrent commissioning projects across the ESB network as well as other private stakeholders. The goal is to ensure safe, timely, and compliant energisation of HV systems, working closely with engineering, safety, and delivery teams. This role will be part office based and part on-site (working closely with the team and meeting with clients).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of HV commissioners working on the transmission and distribution grid in Ireland.

• Working with our in-house Health and Safety Officer and Management team to ensure the ongoing updating of our HV Safety Rules in line with industry standards and statutory requirements.
• Setting work scope for team members.
• Monitoring and managing delivery of scope.
• Management of project milestones and deadline management.
• Planning and management of vendor FAT/SAT with possible attendance if necessary.
• Communication to all electrical stakeholders.
• Attend and provide input to daily/weekly project meetings, internally, vendor and client.
• Managing, delivery, and obtaining approval on relevant project documents such as Test Protocols, Compliance statements etc.
• Managing the delivery, review, and compliance of project documentation to achieve the necessary sign off

Qualifications & Skills

Must Haves:

• Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience in a HV Substations environment (Commissioning, Substation Fitout, Substation Design or similar)
