Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager for a large-scale residential project in South Dublin. You will oversee the electrical package from design through installation, testing and commissioning, coordinating electrical subcontractors on site and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

The role reports to the Project Director on site and requires a strong background in managing electrical packages on major commercial

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services required or strong electrical trades background with package management experience
• Significant experience managing electrical packages on large-scale commercial construction projects
• Experience coordinating electrical subcontractors on site and ensuring safe, on-time, within-budget delivery

Responsibilities

• Manage the electrical package from design through installation, testing and commissioning
• Coordinate and oversee electrical subcontractors on site
• Liaise with design team, client and other M&E disciplines to ensure electrical design information is issued on time
• Review electrical design information and specifications, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Provide CDM and Health and Safety input
• Chair and manage client, design team and subcontractor progress meetings
• Monitor programme, cost and quality of electrical installation works

Job description

Electrical Package Manager Electrical Package Manager required for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to work on a large-scale residential build project in South Dublin. Our client is specifically looking for an experienced Electrical Package Manager with a strong background managing electrical services on large commercial projects. Our client has significantly expanded operations throughout this region and is hoping to have several new projects in the area coming up following the completion of this project. The successful Electrical Package Manager will report to the Project Director on site.

Role: Manage the electrical package from design through to installation, testing and commissioning. Coordinate and oversee electrical subcontractors on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. Liaise with the design team, client and other M&E disciplines to ensure electrical design information is issued on time and fit for construction. Review electrical design information and specifications, identifying and resolving discrepancies or design gaps. Provide CDM and Health and Safety input. Chair and manage client, design team and subcontractor progress meetings. Monitor programme, cost and quality of electrical installation works.

Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (candidates from a strong electrical trades background with relevant package management experience will also be considered) Significant experience managing electrical packages on large-scale commercial construction projects
