Job summary

Designer Group is a leading M&E contractor providing turnkey packages for design, supply and installation. Dublin-based, we hire a Project Manager to drive large-scale M&E projects, coordinating labour, materials and sub-contractors while leading a sizeable team to meet deadlines.

The role requires 5+ years with a large M&E contractor, a 3rd level engineering qualification, and strong communication and leadership skills to ensure safety, quality and profitability on complex commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years recent and similar experience with a large M&E contractor on large commercial projects.
• 3rd Level Engineering Qualification or Trade background with relevant experience.
• Strong Communication and People management skills with experience leading a team, delegation, and delivering to the project program.
• Be able to carry out Material Take Offs for inclusion in site requisitions.

Responsibilities

• Plan resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors.
• Manage specific packages within the overall project.
• Lead a large team to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Ensure project profitability.
• Oversee all aspects of personnel under their charge.
• Schedule/planning of the project.
• Report on project progress to management.
• Read and interpret P&ID’s / GA Drawings / Specifications.
• Coordinate and manage large projects.
• Ensure commissioning / handover aligns with company procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Planning of all resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors.
• Management of specific packages within the overall project.

• Project Scheduling/ Planning.
• Reporting on Project Progress to the Management Team
• Reading and Interpreting P&ID’s / GA Drawings / Specifications.
• Proven record of co‑ordinating and managing large projects.
• Ensure successful Commissioning / Handover of projects in accordance with Company procedures.

• Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
• Ability to drive a large scale project.
• You will have 5+ years recent and similar experience with a large M&E contractor on large commercial projects.
• 3rd Level Engineering Qualification or Trade background with relevant experience.
• Strong Communication and People management skills required with experience in leading a team, work delegation and delivering in accordance with the project program.
• Be able to carry out Material Take Offs for inclusion in site requisitions
