Job summary

We are offering a 2027 Ireland Electrical Engineering Placement Opportunity with Mott MacDonald. The placement sits in the Transmission and Distribution team, beginning around March and lasting 6–12 months.

You’ll work under experienced engineers on projects involving substations, overhead lines, and renewable energy integration, while gaining hands-on experience and professional development. The program includes a three-year early careers soft skills development plan and a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree.
• Less than 12 months relevant experience (excluding placements).
• Strong initiative, communication, attention to detail, and analytical approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Transmission and Distribution projects (substations, overhead lines, underground cables).
• Support with technical studies, design development, data analysis, calculations, and reports/drawings.
