Job summary

Jones Engineering is seeking an Engineer specializing in Electrical Engineering with a focus on transmission and distribution. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver project milestones, assess technical details, prepare reports, and coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• This role requires a degree in Electrical Building Services, Electrical Engineering, or Renewable Energy.
• Experience delivering renewable energy projects on site (wind/solar).
• 3-5 years in a site-based construction role is essential.
• Strong leadership, delegation and cross-functional collaboration are required.
• Good written and verbal communications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Project Manager on progress, risks, and issues.
• Analyze supplier information for alignment with design specifications.
• Review schematics, GA plans and project specifications.
• Design reviews, validate equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with civil designers to meet electrical requirements.
• Prepare technical submittals, RFIs, equipment registers and trackers.
• Analyze design documentation for scope gaps.
• Attend and coordinate FATs with Project Manager.
• Manage electrical and civil design logs.
• Review site quality for compliance with project team.
