Job summary

Jones Engineering in Cork seeks an experienced Transmission and Distribution Project Manager (Civil, Structural & Architectural) to lead delivery of renewables projects. You will coordinate the project team daily, manage subcontractors, ensure safety, and report to the Renewables Division leadership.

Strong MV substation knowledge and site-based experience are essential. The role offers a competitive salary with CPD support and career progression within a world class engineering contractor.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3–5 years’ site-based construction experience is essential.
• Proven delivery of renewable energy projects including wind/solar.
• Experience with medium-voltage substations and grid works.
• Strong leadership and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control and manage delivery of projects within cost, time and quality.
• Lead, coordinate and manage project teams and subcontractors for civil scope.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and health and safety standards.
• Instil a strong safety culture and develop team capability through leadership.
• Carry out site inspections to verify specifications, safety and quality.
• Provide clear reporting to stakeholders and manage client expectations.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges during construction with timely solutions.
• Deliver projects from pre-construction through handover on time and within budget.
• Maintain commercial and contractual oversight, including project P&L.
• Develop cross-functional teams to support project success.
