Jones Engineering in Wexford is seeking a Transmission & Distribution Engineer within Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) Engineering. The role involves project delivery for renewable energy assets and integration with grid connections, including medium-voltage substations and BESS.

You will work on civil and electrical interfaces across teams and pathways toward Chartered Engineer progression. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of site-based experience in renewables, with strong leadership,

Competenze

Degree in Civil Engineering.
3–5 years' site-based construction experience essential.
Experience with renewable energy projects including wind/solar and substations 38kV, 110kV, 220kV; utility coordination and ground works.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to lead and mentor a cross-functional team.

Mansioni

Report to the Project Manager on project progress, risk, and issues.
Analyse supplier/sub-contractor information for alignment with design specifications.
Review and understand technical drawings and project specifications.
Design reviews; validate equipment and systems.
Collaborate with electrical designers to ensure civil aspects meet electrical requirements.
Prepare technical submittals, RFIs, reports and trackers.
Coordinate and audit civil subcontractors; assist with BIM inputs as needed.
Assist with Tendering and on-site quality reviews.
