Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support high-profile projects across data centres, commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical sectors in Kildare with a tier 1 M&E Contractor. You will be responsible for overseeing electrical engineering activities from design review through to commissioning and handover.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years’ experience with electrical contracting, ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently. Competitive salary and benefits including annual leave and bonuses.

Electrical Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of high-profile projects across data centres, commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical sectors. This role is based in Kildare with tier 1 M&E Contractor. You’ll take ownership of electrical engineering activities from design review through commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and manage technical submittals and approvals.
• Coordinate procurement, equipment delivery, and vendor activities.
• Work with BIM, design, and construction teams to ensure successful installation.
• Track project progress and maintain key engineering documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning, and client handover.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience with an Electrical Contractor.
• Strong LV & MV systems knowledge.
• Experience delivering commercial, industrial, pharma, or data centre projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively.
