Job summary

Crossley Scott Limited is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical systems for hyperscale data centres and mission-critical environments in Ireland.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver best-in-class solutions, develop power distribution and control systems, and produce comprehensive design documentation. 3-5 years of relevant experience and proficiency with design software are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years' experience in Electrical Design Engineering.
• Experience within data centres, pharmaceuticals, industrial or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and design principles.
• Knowledge of ETAP, Amtech, EPLAN, AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for hyperscale data centre and mission-critical projects
• Develop power distribution, control, ICT, security and fire detection system designs
• Produce calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation
• Carry out power system studies and electrical analysis
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, contractors and internal project teams
• Support technical reviews, value engineering initiatives and problem-solving activities
• Ensure designs comply with ETCI, BS7671, EN/IEC standards and Building Regulations
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion
