The ideal candidate will have a Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience with electrical design, power systems, and industry standards.

Electrical Design Engineer (Data Centres)

Location: Dublin or Limerick, Ireland

g2 are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing team delivering large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-profile developments, supporting the design and coordination of critical electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for data centre and mission-critical environments.
• Design power distribution, control, ICT, fire alarm, and monitoring systems.
• Prepare technical calculations, specifications, reports, and design documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical design, ideally within data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical sectors.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and industry standards.
• Experience with software such as ETAP, Amtech, AutoCAD, and Revit is advantageous.
