We are seeking a strategic, proactive, and detail-oriented e-Commerce Expert to lead and oversee our direct-to-consumer digital distribution operations. The e-Commerce Expert will work closely with e-commerce customer service and strategic teams, as well as Corporate IT, to drive the development, UAT testing, and continuous optimization of advanced e-commerce solutions. This role is responsible for maintaining 100% inventory accuracy, managing day-to-day pick, pack, and shipping activities, and collaborating directly with the Jewellery & Watches (J&W) and Perfume business units to ensure sufficient stock availability to support business needs. Furthermore, the role requires proactive leadership in resolving customer delivery issues and managing customer returns with immaculate luxury standards. This role reports to senior leadership and is crucial for the seamless functioning, scalability, and exceptional service quality of our e-commerce distribution efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with e-commerce customer service and strategic teams to align operational fulfilment with broader commercial goals and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with Corporate IT to support the development, enhancement, and implementation of innovative e-commerce solutions and system integrations.
- Oversee and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on new e-commerce and system solutions to guarantee seamless functionality prior to operational deployment.
- Maintain 100% inventory accuracy through rigorous inventory control principles, regular cycle counting, and stringent stock reconciliation.
- Manage day-to-day e-commerce pick, pack, and shipping activities, ensuring high efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to premium luxury delivery standards.
- Coordinate directly with the Jewellery & Watches (J&W) and Perfume business units to ensure sufficient stock is available, allocated, and positioned to support business needs and campaigns.
- Be proactive in the rapid identification and resolution of any customer delivery issues, investigating root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Manage customer returns efficiently, ensuring prompt processing, accurate restocking, and flawless quality compliance.
- Enforce company policies and safety procedures, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized working environment for all team members.
- Prepare regular reports on e-commerce distribution activities, throughput productivity, error rates, and inventory status.
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional departments to optimize operational processes and achieve strategic distribution goals.
- Support all business-related audits and contribute to ongoing operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a key operational contact for e-commerce matters.
Hard Skills
- E-Commerce & Logistics Operations: Proven experience managing end-to-end direct-to-consumer fulfillment, pick, pack, shipping workflows, and returns management.
- Inventory Control: Comprehensive knowledge of advanced inventory management principles, 100% inventory accuracy targets, and cycle counting methodologies.
- Systems & UAT Experience: Proven experience with Order management systems, Sales force, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as SAP, and proven experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for IT solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work closely with customer service, strategic planning teams, IT developers, and commercial business units.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for operational reporting, data analysis, and communication.
- Process Adherence: Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments, and Work Instruction and training programs tailored to e-commerce operation.
- Safety Regulations: Leading safety initiatives within E-Commerce operations ensuring all associated aspects such as Risk Assessments, Safety Walks, management of COSHH register are strictly adhered to.
