Job summary

Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced Duty Manager for a busy supermarket in Ratoath, Co. Meath, with a salary of EUR38,000–EUR40,000 per year.

The role covers day-to-day store operations, leading a team, stock control, and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. The ideal candidate will have supermarket or high-volume retail experience, demonstrate strong leadership, and seek progression within grocery retail.

Qualifications

• Previous supermarket, grocery, convenience or high-volume retail experience.
• Experience at Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Trainee Manager or Supervisor level.
• Confident managing a team and running shifts.
• Strong operational and customer service skills.
• Hands-on, reliable and comfortable working in a busy environment.
• Looking for progression within grocery retail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the store while on duty
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Support with stock, deliveries, merchandising and availability
• Manage cash handling and till procedures
• Ensure excellent standards across the shop floor
• Support staff training and development
• Maintain food safety, health & safety and store procedures
