Excel Recruitment assists a large retailer in Dublin South, Ireland by sourcing an Assistant Manager to support daily operations in a high-volume store. The role focuses on leading teams, driving sales, and maintaining high merchandising standards.

The candidate will mentor staff, manage stock, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or Team Leader role.
• Experience working within a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Commercial awareness with a track record of delivering results.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with the daily operation of a high-volume retail store.
• Lead, motivate and coach teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Drive sales performance and achieve store and departmental targets.
• Ensure excellent standards of merchandising and store presentation.
• Monitor stock levels and support stock management processes.
• Manage operational challenges.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee development.
• Ensure health and safety and compliance standards are maintained.
