Job summary

Pivotal Recruitment Limited in Dublin is seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman / Setting Out Engineer to join a construction team. The role combines site engineering and finishing responsibilities to set out and complete works to the required standards.

You will work with the Site Manager and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery, maintain QA, health and safety, and manage snagging through to handover. This role offers strong benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Setting Out Engineer, Finishing Foreman or similar construction role
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Excellent coordination of finishing trades and subcontractors

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out and surveying of works from drawings and specs
• Coordinate and supervise finishing trades and subcontractors on site
• Ensure finishing works meet high-quality standards and programme
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information
• Identify and resolve technical or construction issues
• Carry out quality inspections and maintain QA documentation
• Monitor subcontractor performance and progress to programme
• Manage snagging and de-snagging through to completion
• Liaise with Site Manager, Project Manager and design team
• Maintain accurate site records and engineering documentation
• Ensure materials and resources meet programme requirements
• Support finishing and handover coordination
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and site standards
