McGreals Pharmacy Group is seeking a part-time Dispensary Assistant for Newbridge, Co. Kildare. The role involves Saturday shifts with potential additional days during college breaks, offering hands-on experience learning under a Pharmacist.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prescription Processing: Receive and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently; prepare and assemble prescriptions under supervision.
• Patient Care & Customer Service: Provide friendly, professional service and handle queries, maintaining confidentiality.
• Stock Management: Assist with ordering, receiving, checking stock, and shelf rotation; monitor expiry dates.

Are you a Pharmacy student or training to become a Pharmacy Technician?

If so, this job is for you. McGreals are recruiting a Dispensary Assistantto work on a part time basis in Newbridge, Co Kildare. You will learn from the best, gain hands-on experience while also building up your skills and knowledge. This role is every Saturday and additional days will be offered during the week and also during college mid-term / Christmas & Summer break.

What will I be doing?

Prescription Processing

• Receive and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and assemble prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Ensure prescriptions are stored and managed appropriately.
• Refer any queries, discrepancies or concerns to the Pharmacist.

Patient Care & Customer Service

• Provide a friendly, professional and helpful service to patients and customers.
• Deal with patient queries appropriately and refer clinical or medication-related questions to the Pharmacist.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle personal information in accordance with company policies and data protection requirements.
• Develop positive relationships with patients and contribute to a welcoming pharmacy environment.

Stock Management

• Assist with ordering, receiving and checking pharmaceutical stock.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation.
• Check expiry dates and remove expired or unsuitable stock in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
• Assist with controlled drug and fridge stock procedures as required and under the direction of the Pharmacist.
