Job summary

Kelly's Pharmacy in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This is a full-time role (40 hours/5 days) with hours 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, closed Sundays and Bank Holidays.

One in every two Saturdays is required to work. The Dispensary Team currently comprises Supervising Pharmacist, 3 Support Pharmacists and 1 Technician. Duties include preparing and dispensing prescriptions under supervision, maintaining records, patient counselling, stock

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician with IPU course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies.
• Experience working in an Irish dispensary is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Maintain prescription records.
• Patient counselling.
• Maintaining stock control and ordering medicines as appropriate.
• Deliver strong customer service.
• Engage with the PCRS regarding claims and payments.
• Order from the High Tech Hub.
• Deal with customer, doctor and supplier queries professionally.

Kelly's Pharmacy are currently hiring for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare.

The responsibilities of the role

Essential requirements

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician (IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies a prerequisite)
• Experience working in a dispensary in Ireland is a necessity.
• A full understanding of all HSE schemes is expected
• Experience with McLernons MPS software is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and a team player.
• Excellent English fluency is required

Pay: From €18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
