Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland’s Tax team seeks a Director – Corporate Tax & Transactions Advisory in Dublin to lead high-profile engagements and shape the growth of the Corporate Tax practice.

You will work closely with our Corporate Finance team, advising Irish and international clients and developing a high-performing tax team in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This role offers strong progression and exposure to leading deals.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification experience in corporate tax, ideally in a large practice.
• Strong transaction tax experience, including due diligence and M&A structuring.
• Commercial mindset translating tax issues into practical, actionable advice.
• Experience leading teams and developing people.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, including clients and Partners.
• Proactive, growth-oriented approach to building a leading transactions tax practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-profile transaction tax engagements across buy-side/sell-side due diligence and M&A structuring.
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance to embed tax in deal planning.
• Advise clients on complex tax issues with commercial insight.
• Build and deepen client relationships across the corporate client base.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients and grow the practice.
• Support business development with Partners across Tax, Corporate Finance and Advisory.
• Manage financial performance of engagements, including budgets and recoverability.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of tax professionals.
• Coordinate with advisers to deliver joined-up, multidisciplinary advice.
