Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland in Dublin seeks an experienced Manager to join the Corporate Tax and Transaction Advisory team. You will lead tax due diligence, M&A tax and broader advisory engagements, managing client workstreams and delivering commercially focused advice.

Working with Directors and Partners, you will develop junior team members, build trusted client relationships across Tax and Corporate Finance, and contribute to business development in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• CTA qualification, with ACA, ACCA or a legal qualification advantageous (desirable).
• 3–4 years' post-qualification experience in corporate tax, ideally in a large practice or top-tier firm.
• Strong knowledge of Irish corporation tax and experience in tax compliance engagements.
• Experience in due diligence, M&A tax or tax advisory work or interest to develop in this area.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients with accurate and timely compliance.
• Lead corporate tax compliance engagements, including reviews, filings, reporting and client communications.
• Support due diligence, M&A tax and transaction advisory engagements with Directors and Partners.
• Coordinate planning, analysis, deliverables, budgets and timelines for high‑quality outcomes.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Review junior staff work, provide coaching and day‑to‑day support.
• Build client relationships and collaborate with Tax, Corporate Finance and other teams.
• Contribute to proposals, client research and new opportunities.
• Share knowledge and drive continuous process improvements.
• Help manage team workflow and resource allocation.
