Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an ambitious Manager to lead corporate tax and transaction advisory work, overseeing compliance engagements, tax due diligence and M&A support for Irish and international clients.

You will coach junior team members, manage client relationships and collaborate across Tax and Corporate Finance to deliver integrated solutions. A demanding but rewarding role within a growing Deals practice.

Qualifications

• CTA qualification, with ACA, ACCA or a legal qualification also advantageous.
• 3-4 years' post-qualification experience in corporate tax.
• Strong technical knowledge of Irish corporation tax and compliance.
• Experience in due diligence, M&A tax or transaction advisory.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience leading and coaching junior team members.
• Familiarity with AlphaTax or similar software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring timely compliance.
• Lead delivery of corporate tax compliance engagements and filings.
• Support corporation tax due diligence and M&A tax engagements with Directors and Partners.
• Coordinate client workstreams, budgets and timelines for quality outcomes.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities, and escalate complex issues.
• Review junior team members' work and provide coaching.
• Build trusted client relationships across Tax and related teams.
• Contribute to business development through proposals and research.
• Share knowledge to improve processes and team development.
• Help manage team workflow and resources.
