Job summary

Camden Recruitment Partners in Dublin is assisting a global asset manager to appoint a Designated Person for Fund Risk (PCF-39C). The role oversees the Fund Risk Management Function, ensuring CP86, UCITS and AIFMD compliance across investment, liquidity, credit and counterparty risks.

You will engage with investment managers, apply risk metrics such as VaR and stress testing, and work with risk reporting tools like Aladdin, FactSet and Bloomberg.

Qualifications

• Experience in fund risk management and asset management.
• Deep knowledge of UCITS, AIFMD and CP86.
• Proficient in VaR, stress testing and tracking error.
• Experience engaging with investment managers.
• Familiar with risk reporting tools such as Aladdin, FactSet or Bloomberg.
• PCF suitability under Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Fund Risk Management Function and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide oversight of investment, liquidity, credit and counterparty risks across funds.
• Engage with investment managers to challenge assumptions and validate risk views.

Job description

I'm partnering with a global asset manager that is a market leader in both public and private investment strategies. They have engaged us to source a Designated Person for Fund Risk (PCF-39C) to join their Dublin team.

In this role you will oversee the Fund Risk Management Function, ensuring compliance with CP86, UCITS and AIFMD requirements while providing effective oversight of investment, liquidity, credit and counterparty risks across a range of funds.

Key requirements:

• Strong investment management and fund risk experience
• Deep knowledge of UCITS, AIFMD and CP86
• Expertise in VaR, stress testing, tracking error and other risk metrics
• Experience engaging with and challenging investment managers
• Familiarity with Aladdin, FactSet, Bloomberg and/or risk reporting tools
• Alternative Investments and Python/R experience are advantageous.
• PCF suitability under Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity requirements
