Job summary

Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland seeks an Assistant Director, Intelligence and Market Surveillance to lead a data‑driven enforcement program. Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 NFQ degree in law, data analytics, policing, forensic computing or related field
• At least 5 years’ experience in intelligence analysis, market surveillance or regulatory enforcement, including 3 years in a managerial role
• Proven expertise in intelligence lifecycle management: ingestion, triage, analysis, dissemination and review
• Experience using OSINT tools and digital-platform monitoring
• Experience in data analysis, risk assessment and production of intelligence products to inform decisions
• Experience leading online investigations (open source and covert) and digital evidence management

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Intelligence & Market Surveillance Unit from the ground up, defining requirements for secure ICT systems and evidence management
• Oversee triage and analysis of intelligence from multiple sources, including partner agencies
• Monitor gambling markets and digital platforms to identify risks, trends and regulatory breaches
• Produce high-quality intelligence products and briefings to inform enforcement strategy
• Establish protocols for intelligence handling, classification and retention in line with legal and data protection requirements
• Lead and mentor investigators and enforcement staff, promoting best practices in information governance
• Maintain relationships with domestic regulators and law enforcement to support cross-agency intelligence sharing
