Job summary

AIG Ireland is seeking a Data Management and Governance Senior Analyst to join the Data Office, driving data governance, quality and regulatory reporting across core processes. You will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to map data flows and establish records of processing activities in line with privacy requirements.

Successful candidates will have a degree or equivalent experience, strong MS Office skills, and a proactive, governance‑minded approach to data across complex insurance

Qualifications

• Interest in data management, data quality, data protection, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree or experience (2+ years) in business administration, data analytics, Finance, IT or a related field.
• Experience engaging with business and/or IT management to understand business processes, data flows, controls or business needs.
• General knowledge of GDPR and/or other privacy law requirements.
• Experience in data governance, data quality, audit, risk management and/or related area will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with the insurance industry, processes, and terminology will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
• Strong organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work closely with peers and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote data governance and data quality with business and IT management.
• Map data flows across key business processes and systems.
• Identify personal information processing and record it in the data governance tool.
• Identify Critical Business Terms and map them to enterprise glossary and data flow docs.
• Support data owners and stewards for data in business areas.
• Define data quality rules and review data quality assessment results.
• Review data flows and controls to identify data error risks and document weaknesses.
• Ensure alignment with the AIG Data Management Policy and Standards.
• Produce standard and custom reports for stakeholders and regulators.
