Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is launching its Dublin engineering hub and seeking a Director of Software Engineering in Infrastructure Platforms. You will lead a senior team, own end-to-end infrastructure platforms, and drive architecture, security, and cost-efficiency in AI-enabled delivery.

You will be hands-on, set engineering standards, and foster growth while scaling platforms for enterprise use. This role combines leadership with technical execution in a dynamic, global financial environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering with production coding in a mainstream language.
• Experience building and operating enterprise-scale infrastructure systems.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers and setting technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a small team of senior engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Own the design, delivery, and operation of enterprise-scale infrastructure services from architecture through production.
• Write and review production code, maintaining a hands-on approach and high quality.
• Establish AI-native engineering practices with robust validation standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and manage incidents to improve operability.
• Analyze and optimize systems for scalability, efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Decompose ambiguous problems into clear, executable work for engineers and AI agents.
• Set direction and governance for AI-enabled engineering across SDLC automation.
