Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Dublin is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead an AI-first engineering capability within the Dublin Database Cross Product Engineering Team. You will guide senior stakeholders and shape architecture, delivery, and controls.

You will establish durable frameworks, coach senior engineers, and scale AI-enabled practices across multiple teams while ensuring security, auditability, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and significant applied experience delivering complex, secure, high-quality production software.
• Hands-on practical experience across system design, application development, testing, operational stability, production readiness, secure SDLC.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages with cloud, AI/ML, or database engineering focus.
• Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create complex, scalable coding frameworks enabling durable capabilities across Database teams, products, and functions.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code with senior review and quality oversight.
• Advise cross-functional teams on architecture, engineering practices, and delivery governance.
• Lead AI-enabled engineering delivery with defined workflows, guardrails, and productivity measures.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster adoption of AI-first engineering practices across Dublin.
• Set direction for AI-enabled SDLC automation and governance across teams.
