Job summary

Gempool is partnering with a leading international technology-driven organisation to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team across Dublin, Belfast, or Malta.

This role focuses on Kubernetes and AWS, cloud modernisation, platform engineering initiatives, and scalable infrastructure in a secure, regulated environment. You will design, implement, and operate cloud-native platforms and automation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in a senior DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly AWS EKS.
  • Experience working with AWS ECS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services across compute, databases, and security.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools, ideally Datadog.
  • Strong scripting skills using Python and/or Bash.
  • Good understanding of container security best practices.
  • Experience working within regulated or security-focused environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Implement and manage observability tooling across the platform using Datadog.
  • Enhance and support AWS cloud infrastructure environments.

  • Ensure change management processes align with security and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enable self-service platform capabilities.
  • Support incident response and platform reliability initiatives.
  • Analyse and optimise cloud infrastructure costs.

Gempool is partnering with a leading international technology-driven organisation to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team across Dublin, Belfast, or Malta.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Platform/DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes and AWS experience to help drive cloud modernisation, platform engineering initiatives, and infrastructure scalability within a highly secure and regulated environment.

The Role

You will work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and optimise cloud-native platforms while improving automation, observability, and deployment processes.

Responsibilities
