Job summary

MCS Group is helping a technology-led organisation modernise its cloud platform in Dublin, investing heavily to improve developer experience and scalability. This Senior Platform Engineer role is hybrid (2 days per week in Dublin).

You will design and evolve AWS infrastructure, drive ECS and Docker, build Terraform IaC, and develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, while enhancing observability with Datadog.

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a technology-led organisation that is investing heavily in its cloud platform and is looking to appoint a Senior Platform Engineer to its growing engineering team.

This is an opportunity to join a business that's modernising its platform, improving developer experience and building scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using the latest AWS technologies.

(Hybrid - 2 days per week - Dublin)

You'll be responsible for...

• Designing and evolving AWS cloud infrastructure
• Driving container platforms using AWS ECS and Docker
• Building Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Developing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Enhancing observability through Datadog
• Creating self-service platform capabilities for engineering teams
• Optimising cloud performance, resilience and cost

You'll have senior level experience with...

• AWS
• Terraform
• ECS and Docker
• GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling
• Datadog or another enterprise observability platform
• Python or Bash scripting
