Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a leading Irish fintech scale-up to hire a Mid-Level to Senior DevOps Engineer. Hybrid in Ireland, you will own cloud infrastructure, automation and platform reliability for two SaaS products, shaping DevOps evolution with a proactive mindset.

You will build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Bitbucket), manage AWS resources with Terraform, and mentor peers while driving incident response and observability within a small, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps/Cloud experience in fast-paced environments.
• Strong AWS experience across production environments.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code expertise.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Container tech experience (ECS/Fargate).
• Observability and monitoring with CloudWatch or Datadog.
• Experience supporting Linux-based production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Experience in Agile teams and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

Mid-Level / Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Ireland)
Salary: €70,000 - €75,000 + Benefits

I'm working with one of Ireland's leading fintech scale-ups as they continue to invest in their engineering function with the hire of a Mid-Level to Senior DevOps Engineer.

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain infrastructure or respond to tickets.

You'll join a small, highly collaborative DevOps team where you'll have genuine ownership over cloud infrastructure, automation and platform reliability, helping shape how DevOps evolves across the business' two core SaaS products.

The business is looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and taking the initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting and improving AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple production environments
• Building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket Pipelines
• Managing infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Helping automate release processes and reduce manual deployment activities
• Supporting an ongoing platform migration across two products
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and improving platform reliability
• Working closely with Software Engineers to improve deployment and operational processes
• Contributing to observability, monitoring and incident response
• Mentoring less experienced engineers and helping raise technical standards across the team
• Identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure, security and automation

What they're looking for

You’ll ideally have experience with a number of the following:

• 3+ years' experience in a DevOps, Platform or Cloud Engineering role
• Strong AWS experience across production environments
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• CI/CD experience using Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines or similar tooling
• Container technologies including ECS and Fargate
• Monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog
• Experience supporting Linux-based production environments
• Strong troubleshooting and incident investigation skills
• Experience working within Agile engineering teams
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to make decisions and take ownership
• Someone who enjoys improving processes rather than simply maintaining them

Experience working within fintech, SaaS or other regulated environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.
