Job summary

RECRUITERS is assisting a leading offsite construction company in Galway to hire an experienced Design Manager to lead design teams within a modular/MMC environment. You will supervise production of structural drawings and designs, develop and monitor design budgets, mentor staff, coordinate with internal teams and consultants, and ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables that meet client expectations.

The role requires strong communication, organisation, and a creative approach to problem

Qualifications

• NFQ Level 7 in Architectural Technology, Civil & Structural Engineering, Architecture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills.
• Strong time-management and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend, host and coordinate department meetings.
• Ensure design work is of sufficient quality and all directives are followed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and other departments to achieve design goals.

• Delegate work and review completed designs.
• Develop innovative ideas and designs and communicate them clearly to teams and clients.

• Conduct team training on design developments and new business guidelines.
• Motivate, encourage and support internal and external design teams.
• Ensure timely and high-quality production of structural drawings and designs.
• Assist in creating the design delivery schedule with the client, Project Manager, Design Managers and consultants.
