Job summary

Sanderson in Galway is seeking an Architectural Design Manager to lead design activities within a modern methods of construction environment.

This on-site role requires NFQ Level 7+ in Architectural Technology, Civil or Structural Engineering, with 7+ years in Tier 1/2 construction or offsite design. You will guide internal and external design teams, manage budgets, and deliver high quality drawings and schedules.

Qualifications

Degree qualification (NFQ Level 7 or higher) in Architectural Technology, Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.
Minimum 7 years' experience in Tier 1/2 construction, modular/offsite environments.
Experience leading and managing design teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate internal and external design teams.
Ensure design outputs meet quality, compliance and project standards.
Manage and facilitate design and departmental meetings.
Collaborate with clients, consultants and stakeholders to achieve design objectives.
Develop innovative and practical design solutions.
Allocate and review design work to ensure timely delivery.
Drive production of high quality structural drawings and design packages.
Manage design budgets and monitor project expenditure.
Develop and maintain design delivery schedules.
Mentor and develop team members to promote high performance.
Communicate design concepts clearly to clients and project teams.
