Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking a Design Manager for a high-profile commercial build in Dublin City Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing designs and coordinating with project teams, ensuring adherence to regulations.

The successful applicant should hold an Engineering or Architectural degree and possess at least 4 years of relevant experience. This position offers an excellent salary package ranging from €70k to €80k, along with top benefits and a vehicle/travel allowance.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator.
• Experience in building projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Good understanding of BCAR, TGD, environmental & health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track the submittal and approval process of designs and materials.
• Identify risk/design problems and find solutions.
• Develop look ahead plans.
• Plan and coordinate with project management teams.
• Attend site meetings and report on progress.

Design Manager required a Tier 1 Main Building Contractor to work on a high profile commercial build in Dublin City Centre -easily accessible from the Green Luas line. Our client has a great reputation and is very busy in various sectors across Dublin. We are ideally looking for a Design Manager with at least some Main Building Contractor experience but we will consider candidates from other backgrounds.

Role:

• Coordinate and track the submittal and approval process of Designs and materials ensuring client sign off and approval.
• Look at risk/design problems by finding solutions with our Design Team before they materialize.
• Develop look ahead plans.
• Plan and co-ordinate with project management teams
• Have good planning and programme skills.
• Should have a good understanding BCAR, TGD, environmental & health and Safety regulations.
• Attend Site Meetings and report on progress.

Requirements:

• Engineering or Architectural degree.
• Ideally have at least 4 years’ experience working as a Design Manager / Design Coordinator on building projects in the Ireland or the UK.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
