Job summary

Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Carlow seeks a Resort Deputy General Manager to lead the management team and ensure smooth daily operations across F&B and hotel services. You will support the General Manager, drive service standards, staff development, and guest satisfaction with a proactive, results-driven approach.

The role requires 3-4 years in F&B operations management, strong leadership, excellent communication, and a strategic mindset for cost control and business performance.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years’ experience in Food and Beverage Operations management.
• Standards Driven; particularly in Food & Beverage with experience in high-end hospitality and event service delivery.
• Strong desire to progress and develop your career in hospitality.
• People leadership and motivation experience with proven leadership in managing through other managers and large teams.
• Strong communicator; and comfortable in contributing to the overall hotel strategy.
• Ability to build relationships and influence with all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• To lead the Management Team to ensure the smooth running of the resort operation on a day-to-day basis.

• Available to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekend shifts including Public Holidays.
• To assist in all Food and Beverage Outlets across the Hotel as required.
• Responsibility whilst on shift, for all Food & Beverage areas to include planning and coordinating service, supervision and training of team members, cash handling and guest assistance.
• Be proactive and have a desire to develop standards and promote continuous improvement among employees.
• Lead the development and continuous learning of the resort staff.
• Support the profitability and cost management of the resort.
• Ensuring that each department is operating in accordance with the resort standards and staffing levels.
• Be courteous and professional and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service.
• Carrying out duty shifts and assisting in Reception, Accommodation and all Food and Beverage outlets when the need arises.

Requirements

• 3-4 years’ experience in Food and Beverage Operations management.
