Job summary

Ibec, Ireland's leading industry association, seeks a Deputy Director for the Financial Services Ireland (FSI) Group. You will lead strategy delivery, manage the FSI/ALI teams, and drive policy development and external representation for a high-impact sector.

You will cultivate strong member relations, oversee governance, and ensure achievement of commercial targets, while shaping outcomes on fiscal and regulatory policy.

Qualifications

• Hold a primary degree; postgraduate qualifications would be advantageous.
• Ability to analyse complex policy proposals and determine their impact on the financial services industry.
• Translate policy positions clearly and communicate them through various media.
• In-depth knowledge of the Financial Services Sector.
• Understand forces influencing competitiveness of the sector.
• Demonstrate strong leadership with a future-focused vision for Ireland's financial services.
• Proven lobbying and networking skills in a representational environment.
• Excellent communication skills including media.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the FSI strategy for the core group and support the Chair and Board champions.
• Oversee annual work programme with strategic guidance from the Director of the Group.
• Line manage the core FSI and ALI teams and develop performance.
• Lead a team to deliver policy, activity and financial targets and coach staff.
• Act as a spokesperson and media commentator where appropriate.
• Represent the industry to key stakeholders and shape policy developments.
• Manage member relations and ensure engagement with Ibec services.
• Support governance with the FSI board and ensure compliance with Ibec Handbook.
• Assist in achieving budget and commercial targets.
