Job summary

Fidelity Information Services Ireland Limited in Dublin seeks a Head of EU Policy to lead the company’s EU policy strategy and engagement across Europe. The role carries executive autonomy to shape policy direction and advise leaders on strategic decisions.

Based in Dublin, with travel to Brussels and other capitals as needed, you will oversee external government‑affairs consultants and report to the VP of Global Public Policy in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in EU public policy, government affairs, or related roles with demonstrated EU institutional engagement.
• Deep understanding of EU legislative processes and regulatory environments.
• Knowledge of payments/financial services or technology sectors and key EU frameworks (DORA, MiCA, PSD3, AI Act).
• Ability to translate complex policy developments into actionable guidance for a US-headquartered fintech company.
• Proven ability to build relationships across EU institutions and coalitions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with EU institutions and member state authorities.
• Drive monitoring and engagement across priority policy areas (Digital Euro, PSD3, EU AI Act).
• Represent FIS in EU trade associations and coordinate policy positions.
• Partner with sales and leadership to address sovereignty concerns and translate policy into business guidance.
• Advise senior leaders on regulatory developments shaping strategy and product priorities.
• Develop strategic policy positions and lead responses to consultations and proposals.
• Oversee external consultants and ensure cost-effective, high-quality delivery.
