Job summary

Mahon Dental Surgery in Ireland is seeking a Dental Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the practice, coordinate resources, and support the Principal Dentist in delivering a safe, patient-focused service.

You will manage staff rotas, appointment systems, patient flow, stock, procurement, and compliance, including health and safety, infection control and equipment maintenance, in a non-clinical management role.

Qualifications

• Non-clinical practice-management role and leadership of admin staff.
• Experience coordinating staff rotas, workflows and work allocation.
• Strong focus on patient administration, recall, and record-management.
• Knowledge of health and safety, infection-control, and compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations, resources, facilities and admin systems of the dental practice.
• Coordinate and oversee staff rotas, daily workflow and work allocation across the practice.
• Organise clinical schedules, appointment systems and patient flow to support efficient service delivery.
• Oversee patient administration, recall, record-management and practice communication systems.
• Manage stock control, procurement and inventory of dental materials and practice supplies, liaising with suppliers.
• Coordinate health and safety, infection-control administration, clinical waste management and compliance procedures.
• Coordinate equipment servicing, maintenance, contractors and other operational requirements.
• Prepare and maintain operational schedules, reports and practice records to support resources and priorities.
• Oversee routine safety checks, AED checks, device expiry monitoring and monthly operational checklists.
• Review and improve procedures to support efficient, patient-focused running of the practice.
• This is a non-clinical management role and does not involve independent clinical decision-making.
